Our Services

The Administrative Department provides oversight of areas critical to the successful management of the City of Buena Vista. The Administrative Department services include: Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement, Utility Billing, properly advertising and recording meetings, and maintaining all city records. These and others are functions that keep the City running smoothly, and these support services are performed with integrity and respect, not only for the City’s employees but with the City’s citizens in mind. The City of Buena Vista’s utility clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of customer accounts, issuing refunds and credits when necessary, and providing customer service. The utility clerk also generates bills and checks customers’ account information. They may also perform administrative duties, clerical accounting, bill processing, customer service duties, daily maintenance of customer utility accounts, and serve as the Deputy City Clerk in the absence of the City Clerk.
